North Bass Trail

• Voici quelques photos de mon premier projet dans le Grand Canyon,on est arrivés au camp apres 6 heures de voiture depuis Flagstaff le long de falaises de roches rouges magnifiques,et du camp on n etait qu a 5 minutes de marche de la rive nord du Canyon.On y est donc allé a peine arrivés,et c etait incroyablement grand (haut d).En haut a gauche c est Roland et je suis en bas a droite.
• My first project in the Grand Canyon :we drove about 6 hours from Flagstaff to reach the North Rim,driving for a while along red rock cliff (bottom left picture) .When we arrived to the camp,the supervisor told us :"the canyon is a 5minutes walk away from here (we were in a forest) .It was then incredible when we first saw the top right picture,so huge.The top left is Roland and I m on the bottom right picture.

Arizona Trail

• Quatre photos de mon avant dernier projet, dans le sud de l Arizona entre Phoenix et Tucson.Dans l ordre des aiguillesd une montre : une souris qui venait faire des provisions pour l hiver (et qui nous a bouffé la moitié du paquet de pringles),notre lieu de travail (on construisait un chemin de randonnée),mon equipe a la fin des 8 jours avec les drapeaux marquant le chemin,et une tarentule decouverte sous un rocher.
• Four pictures of my Arizona Trail project,in southern Arizona,between Phoenix and Tucson.You can see a mouse stealing a pringle to eat during the winter,the place where we worked (building a trail),my crew at the end of the project,and a tarentula,discovered under a rock while working.

• Quatres photos de moi,pas besoin de commentaires,sauf que les trois dernieres c etait avec Simone dans la Gila Forest (dire "H"ila Forest) au Nouveau Mexique (5 heure de marche depuis le chemin accessible en voiture le plus proche) ,ety là on s amusait a faire tout ce que les consignes de sécurité nous interdisaient..c était enorme:pas de casque pas de gants de securité,on jette les rochers dans le ravin derriere nous,pas de lunnettes de protection,pas de tee shirt.. looool.
• Four pictures of me,the last three ones were taken in Gila Forest in New Mexico for my second project with Simone the crazy italian guy I made funny pictures with :no helmet,no gloves,no glasses,no shirt,throwing rock without screaming "rooooockk" as safety rules forced us to do...it was so funny,one of the best moment I spent there.

• Trois photos de Las Vegas (la reine de l ouest,la deesse de la cupidité loooool).Dans l ordre : moi qui a gagné au machines a sous (6 $) ,un plafond du Bellaggio,moi et Roland en train de pêcher,et la Monument Valley.

Black & White

• Quatres photos N&B qui n ont rien a voir entre elles : la route qui mène a Monument Valley, Simone moi et Si Hyok en train de fumer des cigarettes a la menthe, Sandrine entrain de s ' empifrer de glace,et moi travaillant comme un forçat pres de Tucson.

Le plus bel endroit que j ai vu !

• Voici le plus bel endroit que j ai vu,dans la Coconino Forest,on est descendu a travers une foret d arbres mort sur une pente de plus de 50 pourcent pendant une demi heure sans savoir où on allait,et on est tombé sur ce Canyon,avec des marres reflechissant le paysage environnant :MAGNIFIQUE !
• This is the most beautiful thing I saw in the US,a small creek between two red rock walls, look at the landscapes reflecting on the water surface...SUBLIME !!!!

San Francisco and Sauselito

• La c est sur la route de Sauselito un petit bled qui fait face a San Francisco ,de l autre coté de la baie,qu on traverse par le Golden Gate.Donc c est le Golden Gate,un magasin de glaces avec glaces gratuites pour les militaires (c est ecrit sur la pancarte) et la vue sur SF depuis Sauselito.
• We went to Sauselito a liitle town facing SF,that you reach crossing the Golden Gate .So here are two pictures of the Golden Gate, an Ice Cream with free Ice Cream for active milirary personel (written on the billboard above my head) and the sight on SF we had from Sauselito

San Francisco again

• D' autres photos de San Francisco,les deux premieres montrent a quel point c est pentu et vallonné,les autres c est alcatraz et la celebre (là bas..) Lombard Street avec ses virages tres serrés sur une pente a 40 pourcent!
• Several sights from SF:on the two first ones you can see how steep ans hilly it is...then Alcatraz and the famous Lombard Street with many switchbacks on a 40 degrees slope !

Encore Chinatown in San Francisco

• Rien a dire a part qu on se croirait en Chine, meme le mendiant est Chinois...
• Nothing to say really,except that it looks like China,even the begger is Chinese....

• On est aussi allé a Chinatown ,le quartier où vivent tous les chinois de San Francisco,c est un vrai ghetto c est incroyable t es entouré de millier de Chinois, j ai pas souvenirs d avoir vu un americain.Ici la langue officielle est le chinois!Tu te croirais a Pekin !
• This is Chinatown in San Francisco,it s amazing not to meet any american people during the couple of hours we spent there.I think I was in Beijing,everyone was speaking chinese, selling cocaine with chinese billets !Funny.

Restaurant a Japantown

• A San Francisco (comme dans toutes les grandes villes) il y a des quartiers entiers reservés a une communauté particuliere.La c etait a Japantown,le quartier Japonais,tu te croirais au Japon ,les rues sont decorées d un style japonais.La c est dans le resto , où on a gouté quelque specialités ,aidés par Young Eun (la coreenne) qui connaissait tous les plats.
• We went to Japantown in San Francisco,in this restaurant where we tasted typical Japanese food ,following Sushi's (Young Eun) hints about what to eat (she knew this food).We had a really nice meal.Tanguy is eating a full spoon of Wasabi, he died just after.

• Le coucher de Soleil sur la plage de San Francisco,avec Tanguy,Sushi et moi.Il y avait un vent glacial enorme.

Notre arrivée pour Thanksgiving à Yosemite

• Yosemite National Park est pour certains le plus bel endroit des States avec Yellowstone et Zion.De ce que j ai vu c est le plus bel endroit ,premier ex aequo avec un canyon caché qu on est allé exploré pendant une semaine de boulot mais chuuuut....La on voit une riviere a moitiée glacée, Sushi qui pisse, et une photo artistique.
• I believe people who told me that Yosemite National Park is part of the most beautiful place in the US with Yelllowstone and Zion National Parks; it s the most beautiful place I saw with a hidden Canyon somewhere in Coconino Forest.There it is a half-frozen river ,Sushi piing inside the National Park (congratulation !) and a art picture .

Yosemite

• Voici Yosemite National Park,c etait incroyablement beau mais ça rend pas trop sur les photos.On est arrivé pour le coucher de soleil, la photo en haut a droite montre bien les reflet de soleil sur la roche,en vrai c etait SUBLIME !
• This is Yosemite National Park ,we crossed it during the Sunset,it was awesome,the sunlights shone upon the rocks,you can see it on the top-right picture.It was one of the most beautifull thing I saw.

Sur la route de la californie

• Le chemin aller nous a pris 20 h en voiture depuis Flagstaff,et nous a permis de traverser des endroits divers : lever de soleil juste avant Las Vegas (on est parti a 2h du matin !), Hoover Dam (celui de Goldeneye !),un Mac Do en arrivant dans les Montagnes de La Sierra Nevada,et la Sierra Nevada,une beauté a couper le soufle .
• The 20 hours drive to California let us cross several landscapes : A sunset close to Vegas (we left at 2 o'clock in the morning !), the Hoover Dam (the one in Goldeneye), a moutain McDonald arriving to Sierra Nevada,and the breathtaking Sierra Nevada moutains...

• Quelques photos prises par des photographes de mode qui trainaient sur la cote Californienne, a l afut.Celles là ont été prises a Malibu Beach et San Diego !

• C etait our immortaliser nos passages sur les plages Californiennes, ici San Diego et San Francisco...en bas on a voulu reproduire le Walk of Fame de Los Angeles là ou les Star laissent leurs empreintes.

Truman Show

• Si vous vous rappellez la fin du Truman Show, Jim Carrey s echappe de l endroit où il a grandit enfermé par une porte sur fond bleu... ça a été tourné ici !
• At the end of the Truman Show, Jim Carrey escape from the place where he grew through a big blue wall ...it was filmed there in Universal Studio.

The Sahara in south California !

• En revenant de San Diego, on a longé la frontiere mexicaine, et on est tombé sur ce desert de sable. Quelle variété de paysages à quelques (centaines de) kilometres de l' ocean !
• On the way back from san Diego,we saw from the highway this sand desert looking like the Sahara.Pretty surprirsing only a 3-hours drive away from the Pacific Ocean!

Hummer

• Un Hummer limousine pres de Holliwood a Los Angeles, je ne connais pas le prix peut etre 150 milles euros?Non,plus.
• A limousine Hummer,probaly costing more than 150 000 $ !It s reallyHuge and ridiculous to go buying your baguette with this monster...

San Francisco beach

• Si cette photo vous parait pleine de mouvements ce n est pas un hasard.Elle a en effet etait prise sur le vif,par surprise. Quel bel effet !Je l adore.

Tomato field

• Probablement le plus grand champ de tomates que je verrai jamais :on a pu rouler peut etre 5 minutes avant d en voir la fin.C etait sur l autoroute entre Los Angeles et San Diego.Incroyable je vous dis.Incoryable.
• The hugest tomato field I ve ever seen lies somewhere between LA and San Diego,we drove about 5 minutes on the highway til we reach the end !Amazing.

Universal Studio

• En bons touristes, on est allé visiter les Studio Universal (universaux ?).C etait pas mal,mais rien d extraordinaire,si ce n est que les film sont tournés dans l enceint du parc (King Kong entre autres quand on y etait )
• We went to Universal Studio, nothing really amazing except when you think that most of the blockbusters are made there.(King Kong)

Premiere nuit a Los Angeles

Notre premiere nuit dans la cité des anges,cette seductrice aux multiples visages...dans un hotel a 100 $ la nuit !

In LA's traffic jam

• En arrivant a Los Angeles,on est tombé sur ce convoi,certainement un decor de cinema,vu que Los Angeles c est la ville du cinema...
• When we arrived in LA , we saw this truck carrying a movie scenery,it s not really beautifull though.

Malibu Beach

• Un apres midi a Malibu, plage moche, rien a voir avec celle de la serie qui n a pas été tournée là d ailleur je crois.Là avec Tanguy on assistait les maitres nageurs...
• One afternoon in Malibu beach,ugly beach so different from the one in the TV serie.Lifeguards asked me and Tanguy to help them...we couldn t really refuse...
